My primary research included me creating a questionnaire on our Auteur, David Fincher, with questions about his style of directing and films he has made, i asked 5 different people to answer the questions for me and my outcome showed me that people initially think of David Fincher films as dark and with a male lead/male main character. In my secondary research i used the internet, Youtube and Films to find out my research. One similarity in both my primary and secondary research was that i found out Fincher use low angles, low key lighting, mostly uses males characters, orange and blue colours, mostly a dark colour palette and casts Brad Pitt. However from my secondary research i found much more detail into how Fincher directs, such as he uses bars often and quite busy and loud places, also my secondary research helped my understanding of camera angles Finchrs uses, such as wide shots and low angles, sometimes hand-held shots such as in the movie seven. Overall my secondary research was more helpful in my understanding of David Fincher as an auteur as there was more knowledge and detail through youtube and the internet.
On Tuesday the 27th of November we filmed our scene recreation project in Warehouse,Penrith. Here are some on set photos i took when we were filming. We used the bar of the Warehouse as our Auteur David Fincher often likes to use bars when characters have long converstations such as in the movie "The Social Network" Also David Fincher uses busy places.
Here is our presentation on our Auteur, David Fincher. We are recreating the famous coffee shop scene from the movie "Heat" 1995, in the style of David Fincher and how he directs. So this presentation includes our research into David Finchers style of directing and how we will recreate that. Production section includes: call sheet, shot list, risk assessment, release forms, props lists, costume lists, equipment lists.
My Research for this scene recreation project includes finding out the style of David Finchers directing, such as what type of characters he uses, camera angles, lighting, setting, pace and much more. I used both primary and secondary research. My primary research included Questionnaires and surveys and my secondary research included Youtube, the Internet and Films.
