To make our idea become a reality we planned to film around 3-5 different time-lapse in busy places, we filmed these for 15 minutes each, also we used Genie, this is a object you put on top of the tripod, i downloaded the app and it can go a full 360 degrees so you can get all the surroundings, at first we wanted to use this so we tried it in our test footage but as we wanted the time-lapses slow it didn't work as well as we wanted it too. We filmed our time-lapses in a high frame rate to make them faster. We then used the green screen for close up shots and shots of our actress walking to add on top of the time-lapse. Here is photos and photo of the process of planning and making our music video. Also i did research into how green screens and time-lapses work, heres what i found out, this helped when we were planning and making the music video. https://www.livescience.com/55814-how-do-green-screens-work.html https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=REByPvmhZEg Evaluation of interactive media
Overall i feel my use of interactive media was successful because on my instagram page, which from my research i have found out it is the most popular social media platform that my audience uses, my followers have increased with the more content i upload increases, also after promoting lots of my work and youtube videos i have positive feedback, such as on my recent music video i got lots of positive feedback on the little clip i uploaded. I feel social media platforms can really help me and other people and business promote their work, from art work to film making, i believe its a good way of promoting it as its free and through social media the whole world is potentially at your fingertips. To find out what type of music my audience liked and what style of music videos they liked, i took to instagram and asked my followers what they would like to see and what they are interested in. i got some good responses that gave me a good understanding of what my audience would like to see. Also my audience is aged from 16-19 so it is a teenage audience.
We had a very clear idea of what we wanted to achieve going in to filming, we wanted many different time-lapse in different locations with our actress walking through them in time to the music. You can find our planning in our music video pitch and presentation.
We filmed on a few different days, in a few different places. We filmed in Carlisle train station, we went and asked permission and they were happy for us to film. We also filmed in the centre of Carlisle and at college using a green screen.
Here are some of the music videos that inspired me for ideas for my music video. I like these because they use slow motion, forwards and backwards motion, rewinding. |
